2012 Spotlight Players scholarship winners.
Spotlight Players Board of Governors would like to congratulate Samantha Mattern and Connor Keliikuli as winners of the 2012 Spotlight Scholarship
Samantha Mattern
Samantha lives in Canton and is in the 7th grade at Canton Charter Academy. You have likely seen her onstage in the Spotlight Players production of The Music Man and has also performed in many of our Spotlight on Youth productions including Alice in Wonderland Jr. and Thoroughly Modern Millie although her role as Sally in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown has been her favorite. Samantha has also been dancing (Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop) and she plans to use her scholarship towards private voice lessons with Triple Threat Dance & Theatre Co. Samantha says singing is a passion for her.

Connor Keliikuli
Connor is in the 10th grade at Milford High School and lives in the Northville area. Connor is currently preparing to go onstage in our Spotlight on Youth production of Bye Bye Birdie in the end of May. He was last seen in A Midsummer Night’s Dream—The Musical and he also appeared in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Connor also appeared in the short film A Timely Meeting, about a mysterious stranger who takes a boy on an adventure through Northville, Michigan, in an effort to help him appreciate the city he is about to move away from. Connor plans to use his scholarship for private voice lessons as well.

Congratulations to both Samantha and Connor. You are both very talented and we look forward to seeing each of you on stage in many future productions.
